Using the HU’s internal amplifier and an external amplifier: In this diagram, you see that the front speakers are being driven from the HU’s internal amplifier and a pair of rear speakers are being powered by an external amplifier. This type of system has very little chance of sounding good. If the amplifier is being used because more volume is desired and the front and rear speakers are roughly equivalent in efficiency then the front speaker’s amplifier will probably be driven into clipping well before the external amplifier reaches clipping.
If the HU’s fader is turned toward the rear amplified speakers, you may get better sound quality or at least less clipping from the internal amplifier but the image will be from the rear of the vehicle which is generally undesirable.

Class AB amps combine the good points of class A and B amps. They have the improved efficiency of class B amps and distortion performance that is a lot closer to that of a class A amp. They can be easily recognized by their series of slide controls that divide the frequency generally from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the approximate range of human hearing. The slide controls are centered at zero and slide up and down from zero to 3 db. Hooking up a graphic equalizer to a stereo receiver is a relatively straightforward and simple process.
Graphic equalizers allow you to fine-tune your audio experience. The units came from the factory with easily removable RCA connectors in place. To hook up a graphic equalizer to such a unit, remove the plugs and connect one pair of audio cables to the pre-amp output and the other end into the left and right channel inputs on the rear panel of the graphic equalizer. Plug a second pair of audio cables from the left and right channel inputs of the amp to the output channels on the back of the graphic equalizer.

Most receivers have either preamp-in and preamp-out connections or tape monitor connections. In most cases, these are the best way to connect an equalizer to your stereo. Connecting to the tape monitor channels will require connection to only your receiver. Learn how to hook up an equalizer to the receiver instead. To run a signal from your stereo receiver to the equalizer and then to your amplifier, you will need 2 sets of RCA cable the same kind that is usually used to connect source components like turntables and CD players.
The length of the RCA cables should match the length of the distance between the receiver and the equalizer. Connect one pair of cables to the pre-amp output channels on the receiver and the other end of the cable to the left and right channel inputs on the equalizer. You will usually find these channels on the rear of the equalizer. Right channel jacks will usually take the red colored RCA plug while left channel should take white or black RCA plugs.
Connect the other pair of cables from the output channels on the back of the equalizer to the left and right input channels on the amplifier. The amplifier should remain connected to the receiver with an RCA cable between the amplifier outputs and the amp inputs on the receiver. This effectively creates a loop from the receiver through the equalizer and amplifier and back to the receiver.
Turn on all three components and adjust the equalizer knobs according to your preferences.

I cannot find a download for the manual so I cannot confirm that both of these AC outputs are milliamps but this is what it looks like from the data on their website. Will this damage the unit? Most all stereo receivers, amplifiers, and standard speakers (i.e., ones that are able to receive signals through speaker wire connections) feature terminals on the back for connecting speaker terminals are either the spring clip or binding post type.
Speaker Connections for proper impedance match A note about amplifiers: You should always use the recommended load for your amplifier. However, if you must use a load other than the recommended load, here is a short guide. Most solid-state amplifiers would rather look at an open circuit no speaker at all than a load. Therefore, you can usually use a load that is higher than the recommended load. Do not use a lower impedance load, as this could cause serious damage to your SS amp. On the other hand, most tube amplifiers need a load to avoid transformer or tube socket damage.
If a mismatch can not be avoided on a tube amp, it is better to go towards a lower impedance rather than too high of a speaker impedance. This may stress the tubes some, but, tubes are cheaper than transformers. As the graphic shows, you connect the positive wire to speaker A’s positive terminal, connect a wire from speaker A’s negative terminal to speaker B’s positive wire, and then connect the negative wire to the negative terminal of speaker B.
You could continue this string for as many speakers that you have available, however, it may not be very practical. The impedances add in a series connection.
